• Cross bite. The teeth of one jaw are displaced inward or outward relative to the antagonists. Crossbite is manifested by facial asymmetry, and from the functional side – by uneven load distribution and displacement of the lower jaw.
• Distal or mesial bite. In the first case, the lower jaw is shifted back – the chin looks shortened, the lips do not close. In the second – the jaw, on the contrary, is pushed forward, and the facial profile takes on a convex appearance with an emphasis on the lower part.
